Terms of Use
Last updated July 8, 2026
These terms govern the use of the member portal of Your Organization, a student organization. Where the organization is affiliated with a school, it operates independently of that institution and nothing here is made on the institution's behalf. By using the portal you agree to these terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Eligibility & accounts
- Accounts are for members, officers, and invited users. You may request access by signing up with an email and password or with Google, but access is not automatic — an officer reviews and approves each request before the portal opens.
- Your account belongs to you individually; keep your credentials secure and never share your login.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your content
You own what you submit (memos, models, messages, profile information). By submitting it you grant the organization a non-exclusive license to store, display, and use it for operating the organization — grading your work, tracking standing, running meetings, and administration. This license ends when your content is deleted, except for records we keep per the Privacy Policy's retention table.
Admin rights
Officers may remove content, correct records, suspend accounts, or restrict access for policy, security, or operational reasons. Access ends when you leave the organization or violate these terms. Sensitive admin actions are logged.
No financial, legal, or professional advice
The portal may contain stock pitches, research notes, quizzes, and career resources produced by students for educational purposes. Nothing on this platform is individualized investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or legal/tax/professional advice. Do your own research and consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
Availability & disclaimers
The portal is student-run and provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. The service may change, break, or be discontinued at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the organization and its officers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or when membership ends. You may stop using the portal and request account deletion at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state or jurisdiction where the organization is established. (Customize this clause for your organization before launch.)
